How to use the Nth Weekday Date Finder

Use this for recurring rules such as the third Monday or first Friday of each month. The result is a month-by-month list that makes missing fifth occurrences visible instead of silently moving dates.

  1. What to enter

Choose any date in the first month, select the weekday and occurrence number, then set how many months to scan. The day of the start date does not become the recurring anchor.

  2. Worked example

February 2025 has no fifth Monday, while its third Monday is 17 February.

  3. How to read the result

Each row names the month, matching date, and weekday. A missing fifth occurrence is shown as absent for that month; it is not substituted with a date in the next month.

How the result is worked out

Start at the first day of each month, find the chosen weekday, then add seven days for each later occurrence.

What to check

A fifth weekday does not exist in every month. An em dash in the date column means that occurrence is absent.

A common mistake to avoid

A weekday rule does not remove holidays or account for office closures. If a meeting must move when a holiday occurs, apply that separate policy after reading the table.

This tool calculates in your browser. The dates you enter are not sent to the Nirmion API.

Questions to check

What happens if I choose the fifth occurrence?

Months without a fifth instance are shown explicitly instead of silently rolling into the next month.

Does the start date need to be the chosen weekday?

No. Its month chooses where the search begins; the weekday and occurrence controls determine each result.

Are holidays skipped?

No. The tool finds calendar weekday occurrences and does not use a holiday list.
