How to use the Month-End Workday Finder
Use this to plan month-end work that must be completed on an available weekday, such as an internal close or report preparation. It shows the calendar end alongside the earlier workable date.
What to enter
Choose a month with the start date, set how many months to show, and enter closures as YYYY-MM-DD dates. Include every relevant local holiday or office closure; the tool does not fetch them for you.
Worked example
If 31 January 2025 is a closure, the final available workday in this model is Thursday 30 January.
How to read the result
Calendar end is the final numbered day of the month. Workday steps backward until it finds a Monday–Friday outside your closure list. The two columns can match or differ by several days.
How the result is worked out
Take each month’s final calendar day, then move backward until a weekday remains that is not on your supplied holiday list.
What to check
No national or bank holiday calendar is fetched. Enter all relevant closures and verify the governing deadline rule.
A common mistake to avoid
This is a planning date, not an automatic statutory filing deadline. Some rules move forward, use banking days, or define a different holiday jurisdiction.
Only dates you enter as holidays or closures are excluded; no country calendar is fetched.
This tool calculates in your browser. The dates you enter are not sent to the Nirmion API.
Questions to check
What happens when month end is a weekend?
The result moves backward to Friday unless that Friday is also in your supplied closure list.
Can I include company-specific closures?
Yes. Add those dates to the closure field; they are treated the same way as any other supplied holiday date.
Does the search move into the next month?
No. It searches backward from that month's calendar end for an available weekday.
