How to use the Roommate Rent Payment Status Table
Use this for a shared rent period after everyone has agreed on shares and you need one transparent status table before settling the rent.
What to enter
Enter one unique roommate per line with their agreed rent share and the amount they have paid toward that same period. Use a single currency.
Worked example
Alex owes and paid 500.00; Bo owes 500.00 and paid 350.00. The group has 150.00 net unpaid.
How to read the result
Positive balance means still owed; negative means paid above the agreed share. Net unpaid includes all individual positive and negative balances.
Method
Subtract paid from agreed owed for every person, then add those signed balances to calculate net unpaid rent across the entered group.
What to check
This is a private manual ledger, not a payment processor or legal rent determination. It does not account for fees, deposits, utilities, or due dates.
Avoid this mistake
Using what someone owes the landlord in one row and what they paid a roommate in another without reconciling both to the same rent obligation.
Calculations run locally in your browser. No entered values are sent to the Nirmion API.
Questions to check
Does this split rent automatically?
No. You enter already agreed shares so the table does not make fairness assumptions.
What does a negative balance mean?
That person paid more than their entered share.
Are payment details uploaded?
No. The worksheet runs in the browser.
