Emergency Fund Deposit Catch-Up Table
Compare a current emergency-fund deposit with the even amount needed to hit a chosen target and see the projected remaining gap month by month.
A 3,000.00 target with 900.00 saved over six months needs 350.00 monthly. A 300.00 deposit is 50.00 below that even pace.

How to use the Emergency Fund Deposit Catch-Up Table
Use this to check an existing transfer against your own emergency-fund target and time horizon, then inspect how a fixed deposit changes the balance.
What to enter
Enter the desired final fund, current balance, months left, and recurring monthly deposit. Keep all values in the same currency and avoid treating the target as an automatic recommendation.
Worked example
A 3,000.00 target with 900.00 saved over six months needs 350.00 monthly. A 300.00 deposit is 50.00 below that even pace.
How to read the result
The summary shows the extra monthly amount required beyond the entered deposit. Each row shows projected balance and remaining target after that month.
Method
Divide the remaining target by months left and round to cents. Project the entered recurring deposit each month and show a zero remaining target once it is reached.
What to check
The target is user chosen. This is not advice on fund size; interest, withdrawals, inflation, variable deposits, and unexpected emergencies are excluded.
Avoid this mistake
Reading the projected balance as guaranteed cash: the table assumes every deposit happens and no withdrawal occurs.
Calculations run locally in your browser. No entered values are sent to the Nirmion API.
Questions to check
What if my current deposit is enough?
The extra amount is zero and the rows show the target reached or exceeded.
Is interest included?
No. This is a contribution-only view.
Why choose my own target?
Needs vary; the worksheet only evaluates a target you provide.
