What you provide
One unlocked PDF, up to 10 MB and 500 pages. Only upload a document you are authorised to process.
PDF and document workbench
Check for a document title, declared document language and extractable text on each page. Download the findings to guide a fuller accessibility review.
Choose one unlocked PDF. The source remains unchanged and the result downloads separately.
Selecting a PDF sends it to the API for inspection. Running the report sends it again for processing. These requests use memory and do not create a server-side file history.
Product contract
Language is read from the PDF catalogue Lang entry, not inferred from the text or PDF version. Each page is checked for extractable text and link annotations.

A JSON report with title and language presence, declared language, page text counts and link counts.
This is not a WCAG or PDF/UA conformance test. It does not validate tags, reading order, alternative text, contrast, form labels or screen-reader usability. A language declaration may also be wrong.
Common uses
Choose the report when you need to answer one of these questions before the next document step.
Identify missing title or language metadata.
Find image-only pages needing a text-layer review.
Prepare a short findings file for an accessibility specialist.
Practical help
No. These checks are only a starting point. An accessibility review must also inspect document structure, reading order, meaningful alternatives, interactive controls and the experience with assistive technology.
No. It reads the declared PDF document language. A missing declaration is reported as missing, while an existing declaration still needs review against the actual content.
No. The operation returns findings only. It does not edit metadata, add a text layer or repair the accessibility structure of your original PDF.
Document workflow
A PDF with a title but no catalogue language reports title_present as true and language_present as false. A scanned page may report no text even when its image looks readable.
Keep the downloaded report beside the exact PDF you checked. If the document changes, run it again; the previous findings describe the earlier file, not the replacement.
