TEMPORARY MEDIA WORKSPACE / VIDEO TRIMMER
Keep one continuous section of a video by entering start and end times, then download a newly encoded MP4 with synchronized audio.
The processor required by this tool is available, and this worker can accept a temporary job.

The selected bytes are sent only to the Nirmion media API for this request. Processing uses a private temporary workspace rather than permanent catalogue storage.
Server-side source and result files are removed when the response stream closes. Re-downloads use the result Blob retained only in this browser tab.
Nirmion writes a separately named result containing nirmion_tools and never overwrites the selected source file.
Know the product contract
Every media page documents the accepted source, the selected FFmpeg transformation, the output container, and the limits that can affect the job.
Confirm the source duration and note the desired start and end points in seconds before uploading.
FFmpeg seeks to the requested start, decodes the chosen interval, then encodes new H.264 video and available AAC audio for reliable boundaries.
Review the first and last seconds, audio sync, and total duration in the downloaded MP4.
Plain-language method
Accurate re-encoding avoids keyframe-only cuts but introduces one lossy video encode. The result is intended as a working clip, not a lossless archival edit.
Confirm the source duration and note the desired start and end points in seconds before uploading.
The end must be later than the start and within the source. Decimal values such as 12.5 provide finer placement.
Review the first and last seconds, audio sync, and total duration in the downloaded MP4.

Before processing
Container and codec
Output is MP4 with H.264 video and AAC audio when present. Chapters, subtitles, attachments, and extra tracks are not carried forward.
Know the boundary
The tool does not remove several separate middle sections or join non-adjacent moments. Trim multiple clips first, then use Video Merger when that workflow is needed.
Quick answers
These answers describe the actual upload, FFmpeg processing, download, and temporary-retention contract.
Yes. The clip then runs from the start time to the source end.
Yes. The API accepts bounded decimal values for more precise cuts.
Re-encoding gives dependable requested boundaries across different source codecs and keyframes.
