Temporary server workspace

How the video audio stream is extracted

MP3 and M4A use lossy encoding; WAV avoids that additional loss but can be substantially larger and cannot improve the original recording.

Container and codec

Understand the output format

MP3 uses MPEG audio, M4A contains AAC, and WAV contains PCM audio. Video, subtitles, chapters, and artwork are not included.

Know the boundary

Extraction does not repair poor source audio

Noise, clipping, low volume, and compression artifacts already present in the video remain. This tool does not isolate voices or remove background music.
