Shape the script for speech
Paste the final text, break long ideas into short paragraphs, and add blank lines where you want a visible pause. The live word count and time estimate help you check whether the script fits your recording slot.

Set a comfortable reading lane
Open prompt mode, choose left or centered text, then adjust font size and side margin until your eyes move as little as possible. Horizontal mirroring supports reflective teleprompter glass; vertical mirroring supports less common monitor rigs.

Rehearse before recording
Use the countdown, begin at a slower speed, and adjust with the arrow keys while speaking. Restart whenever pacing drifts. Fullscreen removes page chrome, while Escape returns you to the normal workspace.

Record and save deliberately
Grant camera and microphone permission only when needed. The downloadable WebM contains the camera and microphone feed, not an overlay of the cue text. Review the file locally before sharing it.

Use left alignment and a wider reading lane for structured paragraphs. Start slowly, use blank lines between sections, and rehearse transitions before entering fullscreen.
Reflective glass rig
Enable horizontal mirror after placing the display beneath the glass. Confirm orientation with one sentence before a full take; different physical rigs can reverse the image differently.

What this tool does and does not do
Nirmion scrolls supplied text and can make a local camera recording where MediaRecorder is available. It does not rewrite scripts, follow your voice automatically, remove mistakes, composite text into video, or upload recordings. Browser recording formats vary, and iPhone or older browsers may limit camera recording or fullscreen behavior.

Online teleprompter questions
Is my teleprompter script uploaded?
No. The script stays in the memory of the current browser tab and is never submitted to Nirmion. Refreshing or closing the page clears it unless your browser restores the page itself. Avoid pasting confidential material on a shared device, and clear the script when your session is finished.
Can I use teleprompter mirror mode?
Yes. Horizontal mirror mode reverses the cue text for common reflective-glass teleprompter rigs. Vertical mirror mode is also available for specialized monitor arrangements. Because hardware differs, test a short line before recording and confirm that the reflected text reads normally from your speaking position.
Does Record camera include the scrolling words?
No. Recording captures the camera and microphone stream supplied by your browser, while the cue screen remains separate. This gives you a clean WebM video without prompt text burned into the image. If you need a screen-and-camera composite, use dedicated recording software and verify its privacy settings first.
Why is camera recording unavailable?
The browser may not support MediaRecorder, the page may lack permission, or another application may already be using the camera. Use a current browser over HTTPS, allow camera and microphone access, and retry. Prompting still works without recording, so you can use a separate camera if needed.
