Checking publication status...LOCAL ARCHIVE TOOL / FILES TO ZIP
Package up to 20 files into one genuine ZIP archive with collision-safe names and selectable compression effort.
Step 1 / source
Choose the files you want to keep together in one portable archive.
Checking publication status...This operation runs with browser APIs. Nirmion receives catalogue requests, not the selected source bytes.
The converter creates a separately named output. It never writes back into the source file.
Up to 20 files, 25 MB per file and 50 MB combined. Folder trees and password encryption are not included.
Plain-language method
Nirmion reads the selected bytes, resolves duplicate portable names, compresses entries with DEFLATE, and writes a standard ZIP. Source files are not changed.
Choose only files you are authorised to package. Selection order does not create folders.
Fast uses less compression work; Smallest spends more browser time. Archive name is cleaned for common operating systems.
You receive one .zip file containing all selected entries with collision-safe names.
WORKED EXAMPLE / REVIEW BEFORE RELYING
Use a short, non-sensitive sample first. This example shows the checkpoints to apply before moving an authorised dataset into the destination workflow.
Choose sample.zip creator with a header and two representative, non-sensitive records.
Keep the documented defaults, convert once, and compare the preview or result count with the ZIP Creator sample.
Open the separate ZIP download and verify two records, field names, nulls, encoding, and destination compatibility.
Useful when
Before converting
Know the boundary
This tool does not add a password or hide filenames. Compression reduces repetition; it is not a security control.
Quick answers
The archive follows a deliberately simple ZIP contract.
No. Browser-selected files are placed at the archive root in this release.
A numeric suffix is added so no selected file silently replaces another.
No. Photos, video, PDFs, and existing archives are often already compressed.
