How to use the Cash Envelope Refill Date Tracker
Use this when you have a fixed envelope balance and want a rough date to review or refill it before your next known funding cycle.
What to enter
Enter the amount left today, a positive daily spending estimate, and the date that balance applies. Use a pace based on your own recent spending.
Worked example
A 90.00 envelope at 10.00 per day from 2026-09-20 covers nine whole days and is estimated empty on 2026-09-29.
How to read the result
The date is the modeled day on which the balance is exhausted after whole daily intervals. The table also shows days covered so the timing can be checked.
Method
Divide the entered balance by positive daily spending, round up to a whole day, and add that many UTC calendar days to the chosen start date.
What to check
This is a simple depletion estimate, not a scheduled refill reminder. Irregular purchases, deposits, weekend patterns, and calendar-specific billing are excluded.
Avoid this mistake
Treating an average daily rate as exact when one large purchase can empty the envelope much earlier.
Calculations run locally in your browser. No entered values are sent to the Nirmion API.
Questions to check
What if the balance is zero?
The estimated empty date is the chosen start date.
Why must daily spending be positive?
A zero rate cannot produce a finite empty date.
Will it remind me?
No. It only displays an estimate; save the date in your own calendar.
