Checking publication status...LOCAL EBOOK CONVERTER / MOBI TO EPUB
Convert readable chapter text and core metadata from an unprotected MOBI into a clean EPUB 3 package with a generated table of contents.
Step 1 / source
Choose the readable mobi ebook you want to turn into text-focused epub 3.
Checking publication status...This operation runs with browser APIs. Nirmion receives catalogue requests, not the selected source bytes.
The converter creates a separately named output. It never writes back into the source file.
One unprotected .mobi file up to 20 MB, 500 chapters, and 2,000,000 visible characters. DRM-protected and unsupported Kindle variants are rejected.
Plain-language method
A browser MOBI parser reads metadata and spine chapters, Nirmion removes active content and proprietary resource references, keeps visible chapter structure, generates XHTML chapters and navigation, and writes a standards-based EPUB ZIP with an uncompressed mimetype entry.
Use a MOBI you own or are authorised to convert. Passwords and DRM are not accepted, removed, guessed, or bypassed.
There are no conversion choices in this release. The output intentionally favours readable text and interoperable packaging over proprietary Kindle presentation details.
The _nirmion_tools.epub contains title, author, language, identifier, ordered XHTML chapters, and navigation. Cover art, embedded images, original CSS, custom fonts, annotations, positions, and advanced Kindle layout are omitted.

Know the boundary
This is not a DRM-removal tool and does not promise full Kindle fidelity. Test the EPUB in at least one standards-based reader before deleting or distributing anything.
Quick answers
The conversion contract is deliberately explicit.
No. Protected or unreadable inputs fail without bypass attempts.
No. This release packages visible chapter text and core metadata only.
