STEM REASONING AND EVIDENCE WORKBENCH

Practice Spacing Analyzer

Group anonymous topic-session dates, calculate consecutive gaps, and review clustering against a teacher-defined band.

Runs in this browser tabEditable downloadUp to 500 structured rows and 30,000 characters per field. Use anonymous or fictional labels.

Learning inputs

Build the practice spacing analyzer

Enter a fictional analysis label and teacher-selected minimum and maximum day gaps. Add topic | YYYY-MM-DD session date rows, repeating each topic for at least two sessions. Use topic or objective labels rather than learner names, IDs, attendance records, health details, or grades.

Generation uses only the information entered in this tab. It does not fetch sources or make student decisions.

Transparent method

How the practice spacing analyzer works

Dates are parsed as whole UTC calendar days, grouped by exact topic label, sorted, and differenced consecutively. A topic schedule is within band only when every gap is at least the entered minimum and no more than the maximum. Span equals the last date minus the first date. Within-band means the entered dates follow the selected scheduling rule; it does not show that practice was effortful, accessible, interleaved, completed, or successful. Use response evidence and learner needs to adjust future sessions. A same-day gap can represent useful repeated work, but it is visible rather than silently counted as spaced practice.

  1. 01
    Before generation

Confirm the question, approved source, units, notation, signs, response coding, model assumptions, and review threshold. Keep an unchanged copy of measurements or learner evidence.

  2. 02
    During review

Run the worked example, inspect every intermediate row, and compare the result with a hand calculation, diagram, representation, periodic table, or approved laboratory method.

  3. 03
    Before use

Record the method, assumptions, uncertainty, units, classifications, and flagged rows. Verify the editable report independently before instruction, assessment, or laboratory use.

How to interpret the result

Practice Spacing Analyzer

Before generation

Use to inspect whether planned retrieval opportunities are massed on one day or separated beyond a chosen review window. It describes a schedule rather than learning effectiveness. It does not select a universal optimum, measure retrieval success, personalize memory intervals, account for absences, or replace teacher planning and learner evidence.

Worked example

Linear equations has gaps of three and five days, and atomic structure has gaps of two and seven, so both fit the selected two-to-seven-day band. Forces repeats twice on one day and then waits twelve days, so the schedule exposes both clustering and a long delay for teacher review.

Formula or methodology

Common mistakes

Do not treat one fixed interval as optimal for every topic, count rereading as retrieval without evidence, expose individual histories, ignore feedback and success, or interpret a missed date as a learner trait. Define the objective, record the practice type, inspect outcomes, adapt the next gap, and follow privacy policy.

Learning boundary

A calculated signal still requires subject review

This browser-local workbench applies only the disclosed rules. It cannot diagnose a learner, certify an experiment, establish a chemical structure, or replace teacher, laboratory, and safety judgment.

Review checklist

Human review before educational use

  • Every value, symbol, unit, classification, date, and response matches the source evidence.
  • The disclosed model matches the course method and intended question.
  • Intermediate rows and conflicts have been inspected rather than using only the headline.
  • A teacher or learner verifies the report independently and records corrections.

Practical questions

Practice Spacing Analyzer questions

Does Nirmion upload these inputs?

No. Processing occurs in the current browser tab. Avoid personal information and retain authoritative records only in the school-approved system.

Can this result prove understanding or a scientific law?

No. It describes entered evidence under one disclosed rule. Compare several evidence sources and ask for reasoning before drawing a conclusion.

Can I submit the downloaded report as finished work?

Treat it as an editable calculation aid. Show your own reasoning, cite required sources, and follow the course method and academic-integrity rules.
