How to use the Biweekly Rotation Calendar

Use this to sketch an A/B schedule for staffing, classes, or routines that alternate every seven days. The anchor controls the boundary of each block, even when it is not Monday.

  1. What to enter

Enter the first day of week A and the number of weeks to list. A week here means a seven-day block beginning on your anchor, not necessarily a Monday-to-Sunday calendar week.

  2. Worked example

If week A begins Monday 6 January 2025, week B starts Monday 13 January.

  3. How to read the result

Each row shows the block start, inclusive end, and A or B label. The following row starts the next day and switches label, making the rotation easy to audit.

How the result is worked out

The anchor begins week A. Each seven-day block ends six days later, and the next block alternates A and B.

What to check

The anchor need not be Monday. Shift details, holidays, swaps, and local agreements are not inferred.

A common mistake to avoid

The labels do not specify shifts, hours, assignments, or exceptions. Agree those details separately before using the list as a staff rota.

This tool calculates in your browser. The dates you enter are not sent to the Nirmion API.

Questions to check

Can a cycle start on another weekday?

Yes. The entered anchor starts a seven-day block regardless of weekday.

Does week A repeat every 14 days?

Yes. The model alternates seven-day A and B blocks, so the same label returns after two blocks.

Are holidays or swaps shown?

No. The table is a base pattern; enter those changes in a separate roster or calendar.
