How to use the Countdown Milestone Table
Use this to turn a target date into a reminder or preparation checklist with known lead times. Separate offsets let you plan early review, final checks, and last-day reminders.
What to enter
Enter the goal date and comma-separated calendar-day offsets such as 90,30,7,1. Each offset must be distinct and means that many days before the goal.
Worked example
With a goal of 30 May 2025, the seven-day milestone falls on 23 May.
How to read the result
The result lists milestones from farthest to closest. Read Days before with Milestone date, then keep the repeated Goal date as a reference when copying a row elsewhere.
How the result is worked out
Subtract each supplied calendar-day offset from the goal date and sort milestones from farthest to closest.
What to check
This is a calendar list. It does not move milestones around holidays or account for working-day dependencies.
A common mistake to avoid
A calendar-day offset does not guarantee a working day or enough task capacity. Move and assign a milestone separately if a weekend, closure, or dependency matters.
This tool calculates in your browser. The dates you enter are not sent to the Nirmion API.
Questions to check
Can two milestones use the same offset?
No. Duplicate offsets are rejected so the result does not repeat an identical milestone.
Are the offsets counted as business days?
No. They are calendar days. A seven-day offset is exactly one calendar week before the goal.
Can an offset place a milestone after the goal?
No. The offsets are subtracted from the goal date, so each generated milestone is on or before it.
