STEM PRACTICE AND EVIDENCE WORKBENCH

STEM Prerequisite Skill Planning Workbench

Group prerequisite evidence by target and audit essential-skill thresholds, evidence-source variety, and consistent readiness claims.

Runs in this browser tabEditable downloadUp to 500 structured rows and 30,000 characters per field. Use anonymous or fictional labels.

Learning inputs

Build the stem prerequisite skill planning workbench

Enter a fictional plan name, readiness percentage, minimum evidence-source count, and target | prerequisite | source | attempted | correct | essential yes or no | ready or review. Repeat each target for its prerequisites. Give each prerequisite one row, use anonymous aggregate counts, and name real evidence types such as quiz, interview, laboratory observation, diagram, or worked response.

Generation uses only the information entered in this tab. It does not fetch sources or make student decisions.

Transparent method

How the stem prerequisite skill planning workbench works

For each row, percentage equals correct divided by attempted times 100. Group rows by target. Readiness requires at least one prerequisite marked essential, every essential prerequisite at or above the declared percentage threshold, and at least the declared number of unique normalized source labels. Every repeated target claim must agree with this combined result. Supported means the readiness label follows the entered threshold, essential designations, and source rule. It does not mean every learner is ready or that a prerequisite is instructionally necessary. Review item alignment, sample size, opportunity to learn, recency, independence, misconceptions, accommodations, language demands, confidence, and consequences with qualified educators before revising a pathway.

  1. 01
    Before generation

Confirm the learning question, authoritative source, units, notation, response coding, model assumptions, and review threshold. Keep an unchanged copy of the original evidence and remove learner names or identifiers.

  2. 02
    During review

Run the worked example first, inspect every intermediate row, and compare it with a hand calculation, diagram, representation, or approved subject method. Correct input evidence before interpreting a flag.

  3. 03
    Before use

Record the method, assumptions, units, classifications, and flagged rows. Verify the editable report independently, connect the numerical signal with learner reasoning, and document any teaching or laboratory decision outside this tool.

How to interpret the result

STEM Prerequisite Skill Planning Workbench

Before generation

Use before starting a STEM target or assigning support to check whether evidence exists for essential prerequisites across more than one source. The workbench separates score threshold from evidence diversity and exposes conflicting readiness labels. It does not diagnose an individual, infer causality, select an intervention, validate an assessment, predict success, or turn one recent score into permanent mastery.

Worked example

Linear systems has equation-solving and ordered-pair evidence from quiz and interview sources. Both essential percentages reach 75 percent, so ready is supported. Projectile modeling has vector evidence above threshold but graph reading below it, so review is supported. Review source variety has strong results on both prerequisites but only one source type, making its ready claim unsupported.

Formula or methodology

For each row, percentage equals correct divided by attempted times 100. Group rows by target. Readiness requires at least one prerequisite marked essential, every essential prerequisite at or above the declared percentage threshold, and at least the declared number of unique normalized source labels. Every repeated target claim must agree with this combined result.

How to interpret the result

Supported means the readiness label follows the entered threshold, essential designations, and source rule. It does not mean every learner is ready or that a prerequisite is instructionally necessary. Review item alignment, sample size, opportunity to learn, recency, independence, misconceptions, accommodations, language demands, confidence, and consequences with qualified educators before revising a pathway.

Common mistakes

Do not average away a failed essential prerequisite, count two forms of the same quiz as independent sources without justification, mark every skill essential, compare unequal tasks as equivalent, use tiny attempted counts without uncertainty, or treat a threshold as a diagnosis. Preserve row evidence, define the target and source rule, and inspect actual learner reasoning.

Learning boundary

A calculated signal still requires subject review

This browser-local workbench applies only the disclosed rules. It cannot diagnose a learner, certify an experiment, establish assessment validity, or replace teacher, laboratory, curriculum, accessibility, and safety judgment.

Review checklist

Human review before educational use

  • Every entered value, unit, label, and response matches the approved source evidence.
  • The disclosed model matches the intended curriculum question and evidence type.
  • Intermediate calculations, restrictions, and conflicts have been inspected rather than using only the headline.
  • A teacher or learner verifies the report independently and records corrections, limitations, and next steps.

Practical questions

STEM Prerequisite Skill Planning Workbench questions

Does Nirmion upload these inputs?

No. Processing occurs in the current browser tab. Avoid personal information and retain authoritative records only in the approved school system.

Can the result prove mastery or scientific validity?

No. It describes entered evidence under one disclosed rule. Review reasoning, uncertainty, access, and several evidence sources.

Can I submit the downloaded report as finished work?

Treat it as an editable calculation aid. Show your own reasoning, cite required sources, and follow course and academic-integrity rules.
