Checking publication status...LOCAL DOCUMENT CONVERTER / HTML TO PDF
Convert the visible text structure of an HTML file into a clean, searchable PDF without running scripts or loading remote assets.
Step 1 / source
Choose the saved HTML file whose readable content you need as a fixed document.
Checking publication status...This operation runs with browser APIs. Nirmion receives catalogue requests, not the selected source bytes.
The converter creates a separately named output. It never writes back into the source file.
One UTF-8 .html or .htm file up to 1 MB and 250,000 source characters. Latin-script text only, with a 500-page output limit.
Plain-language method
The browser parses the local markup, removes script, style, template, frame, object, SVG, and canvas content, then maps readable document blocks to PDF text. Image alt text may appear as an omitted-image note.
Save the page as UTF-8 HTML and make sure its meaning exists in the file, not only in content loaded later by JavaScript.
Choose the intended paper size and an 8 to 18 point base size. Complex nested layouts are simplified to a reading order.
The result ends in _nirmion_tools_html.pdf. It is a text-first document, not a screenshot of the browser page.
Useful when
Before converting
Know the boundary
CSS, web fonts, forms, background artwork, browser layout, linked media, and JavaScript output are not reproduced. Use a trusted browser print workflow when visual fidelity is required.
Quick answers
Safe text extraction and webpage screenshots solve different jobs.
No. The file is parsed as markup and active elements are removed.
No. The converter makes no network request for linked assets.
