Checking publication status...

01
No file upload

This operation runs with browser APIs. Nirmion receives catalogue requests, not the selected source bytes.

02
Original stays unchanged

The converter creates a separately named output. It never writes back into the source file.

03
Bounded work

One UTF-8 .csv file up to 5 MB and 1,000 contact rows. Each row needs at least a name, email, or phone.

Plain-language method

How headers map to contact properties

Headers are normalized and matched to conservative aliases such as full_name, first_name, last_name, email, phone, organization, title, address, and website. Each valid row becomes one vCard 3.0 record.

  1. 01
    Choose a valid source

Use a header row and consistent columns. At least one identifying name, email, or phone header must exist.

  2. 02
    Review the conversion choices

Choose the actual delimiter. Unknown columns are ignored rather than copied into ambiguous custom properties.

  3. 03
    Inspect the separate result

The combined download ends in _nirmion_tools_contacts.vcf and can be reviewed before import into a contact application.

Useful when

Practical jobs this tool handles

  • Import a clean spreadsheet contact list into a phone.
  • Turn a registration export into portable contact cards.
  • Prepare a bounded contact migration without a cloud converter.

Before converting

Test before a large import

  • Convert a small sample and import it into the target address book.
  • Check country codes and phone formatting.
  • Back up the target address book before bulk import.

Know the boundary

Header aliases are deliberately conservative

Unknown or custom columns are omitted, and the tool does not deduplicate contacts. Review the generated cards before importing them into a live address book.

Quick answers

Questions before you convert

Clear headers produce the most predictable contacts.

Which headers are recognized?

Common aliases for full and split names, email, phone, organization, title, address, and website are supported.

Are duplicate rows removed?

No. Every valid non-empty row becomes one card so the tool does not make identity decisions for you.

Can I add photos or groups?

Not in this basic vCard 3.0 export. Add richer properties in a contact application after review.
