BUILT AROUND THE TASK

Review a PDF before handoff

Check the document you are about to send. Review page dimensions, font resources, metadata, and limited accessibility or archival signals before deciding what needs a closer look.

USE WITH CONTEXT

Before you use these tools

These reports inspect the supplied PDF; they do not repair it or certify accessibility or PDF/A compliance. Keep the original, open every page, and use a specialist validator when your recipient requires a standard.

A PRACTICAL ROUTE THROUGH THE SHELF

From raw input to reviewed output

  1. 1

    Check the physical document

Export the page report and look for unexpected sizes, rotation, blank pages, or missing text. Compare the count with the pack you intended to send.

  2. 2

    Inspect resources and metadata

Review the font inventory and metadata report. A listed font is a resource reference, not proof of embedding or a license to redistribute it.

  3. 3

    Decide what needs specialist review

Check the document language and text signals, then inspect any PDF/A identification in XMP. Missing warnings do not establish conformance; validate the required standard independently.

Questions before you start

Can these reports certify an accessible or archival PDF?

No. A document can contain a language value, selectable text, and a PDF/A marker while still failing the relevant standard. Use these reports to locate questions for review, then check reading order and assistive-technology behavior or run an appropriate PDF/A validator. Keep the validation result with the final file.
