TEMPORARY MEDIA WORKSPACE / VIDEO FRAME EXTRACTOR
Capture one frame at a chosen timestamp and download it as a JPG or PNG image with measured source details.
The processor required by this tool is available, and this worker can accept a temporary job.

The selected bytes are sent only to the Nirmion media API for this request. Processing uses a private temporary workspace rather than permanent catalogue storage.
Server-side source and result files are removed when the response stream closes. Re-downloads use the result Blob retained only in this browser tab.
Nirmion writes a separately named result containing nirmion_tools and never overwrites the selected source file.
Know the product contract
Every media page documents the accepted source, the selected FFmpeg transformation, the output container, and the limits that can affect the job.
Find the desired timestamp in a player and confirm it is inside the source duration.
FFmpeg seeks to the requested timestamp, decodes the corresponding video frame, and writes one JPG or PNG image.
Inspect the still for the intended moment, motion blur, dimensions, and readable details.
Plain-language method
A single frame can contain motion blur or compression artifacts from the source. PNG avoids additional lossy image encoding but cannot remove source artifacts.
Find the desired timestamp in a player and confirm it is inside the source duration.
Use decimal seconds for finer placement. Choose JPG for compact photos or PNG for lossless graphics and text.

Container and codec
JPG is a lossy photographic image; PNG is lossless and commonly larger. The result contains no animation or audio.
Know the boundary
The tool does not generate a contact sheet, burst, or every frame. Frame placement can differ slightly from a player display because of source timing and decoding.
Quick answers
These answers describe the actual upload, FFmpeg processing, download, and temporary-retention contract.
Yes. Values such as 12.5 request a sub-second position.
PNG normally avoids new JPEG artifacts around sharp text and interface edges.
Only subtitles already burned into the video pixels appear; separate subtitle tracks are not rendered.
