How to use the Grace Period End Date Finder
Use this to compare calendar interpretations of a stated grace period before checking the governing agreement. It makes the inclusive-count and workday-adjustment choices visible.
What to enter
Enter the start date, number of calendar days, whether the start day counts, and any allowed workday adjustment. Add relevant holidays or closures if adjustment is selected.
Worked example
From Friday 31 January 2025, two inclusive days end Saturday 1 February; next-workday adjustment gives Monday 3 February.
How to read the result
Nominal end follows the chosen counting rule. Adjusted end moves from that date only if the selected next- or previous-workday rule requires it; compare both columns with the actual terms.
How the result is worked out
Count calendar days from the start using your inclusive or exclusive rule, then optionally move a closed-day result to the next or prior available workday.
What to check
Grace-period definitions vary by contract and law. This tool does not determine legal rights, fees, coverage, or official deadlines.
A common mistake to avoid
A grace period can affect legal rights, coverage, fees, or access. This tool cannot determine those consequences or decide which counting and adjustment rules apply.
Only dates you enter as holidays or closures are excluded; no country calendar is fetched.
This tool calculates in your browser. The dates you enter are not sent to the Nirmion API.
Questions to check
Does the workday adjustment always apply?
No. Select it only when the applicable agreement or policy explicitly permits that rule.
What changes when the start day counts?
Inclusive counting treats the start date as day one; exclusive counting begins with the following day. Check which interpretation the applicable terms specify.
Are holidays imported automatically?
No. Only dates you supply are excluded when a workday adjustment is used.
