This tool removes the password prompt from a new copy. It leaves your original file unchanged.

Drop or browse for one PDF up to 10 MB. Nirmion checks the file type and size before it enables processing.

Enter the password you know

Use the same password that currently opens the document. The tool cannot discover a forgotten password or break encryption.

Download the unlocked copy

The new filename keeps the original name and adds _nirmion_tools_unlocked. You can re-download recent results during this browser session.

Password rejected?Check capitalization, spaces, and keyboard layout, then enter the exact opening password again.
Upload not accepted?Confirm the file ends in .pdf, is no larger than 10 MB, and is not damaged.
What happens to the original?Nothing. Nirmion downloads a separate unlocked copy and does not overwrite your selected PDF.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Know what this unlocker can and cannot do.

Does unlocking edit or delete my original PDF?

No. The original stays where it is. The service returns a separate PDF with password protection removed.

Can Nirmion unlock a PDF if I forgot the password?

No. You must provide the current opening password. This tool is not a password recovery or cracking service.

Why is there a 10 MB limit?

The limit keeps local uploads responsive and protects the shared processing service from oversized jobs.

The workflow validates PDF type and size before processing, reports service availability before submission, and keeps up to three completed downloads in memory for the current browser session. It does not recover forgotten passwords, remove signatures, or modify the original file.
