Checking publication status...

01
No file upload

This operation runs with browser APIs. Nirmion receives catalogue requests, not the selected source bytes.

02
Original stays unchanged

The converter creates a separately named output. It never writes back into the source file.

03
Bounded work

One UTF-8 .vcf or .vcard file up to 5 MB and 1,000 cards. Basic text fields are supported; encoded photos and custom properties are omitted.

Plain-language method

How contact cards become rows

The parser unfolds continued vCard lines, reads common text properties, makes one row per card, and writes full name, first name, last name, email, phone, organization, title, address, and website columns.

  1. 01
    Choose a valid source

Export contacts as UTF-8 vCard. Each record needs BEGIN:VCARD and END:VCARD plus at least a name, email, or phone.

  2. 02
    Review the conversion choices

There are no mapping choices in this first route. When a card contains several emails or phone numbers, the first supported value is used.

  3. 03
    Inspect the separate result

The UTF-8 CSV includes a byte-order marker for common spreadsheet software and neutralizes formula-leading cells.

Useful when

Practical jobs this tool handles

  • Review an address-book export in a spreadsheet.
  • Prepare basic contacts for a CRM mapping exercise.
  • Audit names and phone numbers before migration.

Before converting

Review fields after conversion

  • Check cards with several emails or phone numbers.
  • Review addresses because vCard structures vary by exporter.
  • Keep the original VCF as the richer source of record.

Know the boundary

A basic contact projection

Photos, groups, labels, custom fields, multiple-value fidelity, quoted-printable content, and binary properties are not preserved in the nine-column CSV.

Quick answers

Questions before you convert

The output is useful for review, not a lossless backup.

Are multiple phone numbers included?

This first release uses the first supported TEL and EMAIL value per card.

What happens to contact photos?

Binary and encoded photo fields are ignored; keep the original VCF for full fidelity.

Why are some cells prefixed with an apostrophe?

Formula-leading text is neutralized to reduce spreadsheet formula injection risk.
