PRODUCT SPECIFICATION
Purposeful tag matching is safer than broad content deletion when the source PDF structure must be preserved.
One unlocked PDF up to 10 MB and 500 pages that contains at least one Nirmion watermark tag.
One PDF ending in _nirmion_tools_watermark_removed.pdf with matching tagged streams removed.
This tool does not remove scanned, flattened, Adobe, third-party, image-based, or manually created watermarks.
THREE-STEP WORKFLOW
No visual guessing or OCR is used during watermark removal.
Choose the PDF previously produced by Nirmion Add PDF Watermark.
There are no settings. The API searches page content streams for the private Nirmion watermark tag.
Compare the new PDF with its source and verify that ordinary page content remains intact.
KNOW BEFORE YOU USE IT
Removing arbitrary marks reliably can require OCR, image reconstruction, or destructive editing and may violate rights. Nirmion removes only its own identifiable watermark layer.
COMMON QUESTIONS
The PDF does not contain a layer tagged by Nirmion Add PDF Watermark, or that tag was flattened or rewritten by another application.
No. A scanned watermark is part of the page image and cannot be separated by tag matching.
The implementation filters only streams whose Nirmion layer value is watermark; untagged streams are retained.
FREE ONLINE PDF TOOL
Nirmion Remove PDF Watermark performs exact tagged-layer removal instead of attempting unreliable visual detection. It reports an error when no matching layer exists.
This conservative scope protects normal content and clearly excludes arbitrary third-party and flattened watermarks. The result is a separate, automatically downloaded PDF.
